Départ de Bolloré : son management de Renault a plus pesé que ses liens avec Ghosn

La chronique hébdomadaire de Bernard Jullien Ancien directeur du Gerpisa, maître de conférences en économie à l'Université de Bordeaux et conseiller scientifique de la Chaire de Management des Réseaux du Groupe Essca.

Le feuilleton continue donc et le dernier épisode a été l’éviction brutale de Thierry Bolloré vendredi.

Celle-ci est volontiers commentée comme le pendant de celle de Saikawa qui aurait été souhaitée par les Nissan et – supputent certains – consentie par Jean-Dominique Senard pour que le tiercé des candidats à la direction soit mis dans l’ordre qu’il souhaitait voir prévaloir.
Le gouvernement et l’agence des participations d’Etat qui, après avoir souhaité la fusion Renault-Nissan et envisagé d’un bon œil l’opération Renault-FCA, semblent avoir depuis début juin compris enfin que la relance de l’Alliance devait être la priorité donnée à J.-D. Senard aurait validé l’option. L’entreprise serait donc principalement une entreprise de "dé-ghosnisation" du top management des deux entreprises nécessaire à un nouveau départ.

Si cette interprétation contient une part de vérité, elle est sans doute un peu courte toutefois.

Bolloré's lay-off: the way he was managing Renault has weighed in the decision than his links with Ghosn

The show goes on and the last episode was the brutal eviction of Thierry Bolloré (Renault's CEO) on Friday.

This is willingly commented on as the counterpart to Saikawa's which would have been desired by the Nissans and - as some presume - agreed by Jean-Dominique Senard (Renault's Chairman) that the trio of leadership candidates should be put in the order he wanted to see prevail.
The government and the agency of state shareholdings ("APE3: Agence des Participations de l'Etat) which, after having wished for the Renault-Nissan merger and having favourably considered the Renault-FCA operation, seem to have finally understood since the beginning of June that the relaunch of the Alliance should be the priority given to J.-D. Senard would have validated the option. The undertaking would therefore mainly be a process of "de-ghosnisation" of the top management of the two companies necessary for a new start.

If this interpretation contains some truth, it is probably a little short, however.
