Gerpisa colloquium, Paris (2018)Abstract:
Purpose
The present work proposes the design of an intelligent cell of technical training for welders of an automotive OEM located in the region of Puebla, Mexico. Currently training for new workers who enter the company as welders, carry a traditional training which entails high costs for the company. Also to update the welders in new welding techniques, it is necessary to have specialist instructors available on a recurring basis which also represents high costs. The design of the smart cell considers the characteristics of the human-machine relationship but in the context of the industry 4.0 with the technologies involved in the technical training of human resources in the automotive industry.
Design
The research methodology used is Action-Research, where the process of training welders and the impact of this activity on the development of the vehicle manufacturing process was analyzed. Being a personalized training where personal technical skills are of vital importance, the proposal to design a training cell based on technologies of Industry 4.0, involved analyzing the pertinence of these technologies and testing them in situ.
Results
The proposal of a welder training cell based on the context of the technologies in the concept of industry 4.0 is presented, which represented an optimization in the material, financial and human resources, as well as allowing the inclusion of the Resource Specialization Center High Level Human in the Automotive Sector to the new era of digitalization of processes, in this case, training.
