Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to discuss this issue, by analysing the transformations that took (and are taking) place in the automotive industry that operates in Brazil since the beginning of the 21st Century and their impact in the work organization, labor unions and forms of firm-level interest representation. We also intend to discuss possible future scenarios and the role of employee representation in the building of them.
