Mexico's automotive Cactus (CAMEX) is a subsidiary of Global Production Division, Toyota Parts & Logistics Tsucho Corporation. CAMEX has 8 years working with Toyota Tijuana. Toyota Tsusho has to take advantage of CAMEX know how and acquired skills looking for new frontiers in Mexico. Reverse logistics (returnable management) is one of the right options for cost and time reduction and sustainable or greener business.
This paper presents the complexity of outsourcing in the automotive sector and the challenges that Camex has to become more competitive and expand their services in the logistic network and sub assemblies as tier 1 not only for Toyota Motor Corporation, but for other OEM’s in Mexico.
