A pioneer in Mexican and Latin American studies of the automotive industry, he devoted his life to studying, teaching, writing, and speaking about the importance of calibrating and tracking the industry's evolution. Jorge joined GERPISA in its early years and left behind a unique legacy of discipline and consistency. Learning from him, many scholars fell in love with the sector's multilayered production and social features and implications.
