I am deeply saddened by this news. Jorge collaborated on several occasions with the ILO, both in Geneva and in Mexico, and these interactions always reflected his intellectual generosity and deep commitment to research that mattered for workers and institutions alike. He was also very proud that his daughter joined the ILO Statistics Department a few years ago.

My thoughts are with his family and with all of you who shared so many moments with him.
