Purpose and Research Target
The aim of this research is to consider Global Value Chain (GVC) of tire import and export. Automobile industry is consisting from many industries, it needs variety of technologies. For emerging countries, to set up automobile industry and to rise nationalization ratio are meaningful for economic growth. In advanced countries of automobile production, there are many automobile supporting industries. They employ huge people. They produce huge added values for a country. When automobile manufactures enforce research and development for a new cars and new technologies for a car, domestic supporting industries helps it very much.
Now, Brazilian government is planning to grow her automobile industry more, and would like to rise her nationalization ratio of automobile production. Tire is one of them to rise nationalization. To consider it, the author would like to research a GVC of tire export and import, Brazilian global supply chain of tire, a current position of Brazilian tire international competitiveness and so on.

Method and Data
In order to consider it, we will use international competitive index using export and import data. Raw data of export and import are plant to use from UN Comtrade Database. HS code 4011 is “New pneumatic tires, of rubber”. HS 401110 is “that one of a kind used on motor cars (including station wagons and racing cars)”. HS 401120 is “that one of a kind used on buses or lorries”. At first, we search regards HS 401110, then we search HS 401120.

Total View
As of 2022, 144 countries join in the Global Value Chain of a new tire for automobile (HS401110). Top 10 countries and their share of a trade volume (export + import) are as follows; The 1st is USA and her global share is 13.0%, 2nd is Germany (9.6%), 3rd is China (8.0%), 4th is France (4.4%), 5th is Netherland (3.8%), 6th is Mexico (3.5%), 7th is Thailand (3.3%), 8th is Rep. of Korea (3.2%), 9th is Italy (3.2%) and 10th is Japan (3.0%). Brazil is 24th in the world and her share is 1.2%.
Demand side
Regards Demand side (Import), Top 10 countries and their share are as follows; The 1st is USA and her global share is 22.5%, 2nd is Germany (10.0%), 3rd is France (5.5%), 4th is UK (4.3%), 5th is Netherland (4.0%), 6th is Italy (3.8%), 7th is Mexico (3.6%), 8th is Canada (3.2%), 9th is Spain (2.6%) and 10th is Belgium (2.1%). Brazil is 20th in the world and her share is 1.2%.

Supply side
Regards Supply side (Export), Top 10 countries and their share are as follows; The 1st is China and her global share is 15.1%, 2nd is Germany (9.1%), 3rd is Thailand (6.2%), 4th is Rep. of Korea (5.0%), 5th is Japan (4.2%), 6th is Romania (4.0%), 7th is Poland (3.9%), 8th is Hungary (3.7%), 9th is Netherland (3.6%) and 10th is Mexico (3.5%). Brazil is 25th in the world and her share is 1.2%.

Furthermore we would like to survey previous years and transition and changes of the World and Brazilian situation for a automobile and commercial vehicle.
