Résumé:

As an update to the Ford chapter in "The Second Automobile Revolution," I propose to present in chart form an outline of the  chapter I propose to write in the new GERPISA book, on how OEMs have dealt with the global automotive crisis, in my case focusing on Ford in the period 2007-2010 (roughly).  I will discuss both strategic and tactical, financial and operational steps taken by the company, from the sale of divisions such as Volvo to the reform of global product development to the "mortgaging" of the company to provide crucial liquidity.  Feedback from the audience will assist me to revise the chapter for submission to the book's editors in text form.
