Résumé:

Four waves of change seem to sweeping across the automotive world, such that "old fashioned" topics such as modular platforms or supply chain globalization are now almost ignored. The four waves are generally identified as Autonomous cars, Electric vehicles, "Shared" mobility (often not truly shared), and Connected cars. Choose your acronym: ACES or CASE. These four forces are asserted to be about to completely transform the automotive industry. The National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) in the USA, concerned about these trends, commissioned a 3-year project to scan the literature on these areas and produce a forecast for their trajectory in the USA. The results of this work will make up this presentation. Note that the findings are germane primarily to North America: the trajectory (e.g.) of EV adoption will vary widely around the globe.
