Towards the Italian Automotive Council

Abstract:

On the basis of the experience of the Plateforme of the Automobile Filiere and of the ritish Automotive Council, also Italian stakeholders of the automotive sectors are considering essential the institution of a similar council with the task of:
 Become the privileged interlocutor for the legislative measures regarding the world of mobility;
 Define a strategy of sustainable mobility shared between the various players in the industry;
 Create a competitive environment with the aim of attracting foreign companies;
 Foster the growth of businesses within the supply chain (aggregation of firms) and develop a solid supply chain, competent and competitive;
 Further develop the technology roadmap for vehicles with low carbon emissions (taking into account the different types of fuels) in order to promote Italy as ideal country to develop new technologies.
 Build global supply chains (support toward export and internationalisation) to promote the importance of the Italian automotive sector both at the Government and potential global partners.
The Council, supported by the Government, it should provide for the active participation of the relevant ministries of the automotive sector together with the institutions members of internationalisation and development of companies with the representatives of the industrial actors, ANFIA (The Italian Association of the Automotive Industry) and Fiat-Chrysler.
