Given that the business world is rapidly changing, new products are entering the market quickly, product life cycles are getting increasingly shorter and competition is becoming even more aggressive as automotive OEMs and suppliers from more and more countries, particularly from emerging markets, are competing beyond their own borders. In order for automotive OEMs and suppliers to more successfully recognize what to innovate as well as to take the leap to actually implement an innovation that might seem risky, we have developed a two phase process to assess and implement innovative ideas based on empirical research.
