Construction mechanisms of the innovation system in Ford MC Hermosillo are related to the use of external knowledge derived from the new requirements and potential that induces the overall restructuring of the automotive industry as well as the emanated internal knowledge of the use of technical capabilities of the workforce and the use of symbolic traps in the work process. This has led to a model of systemic empirista innovation and organization that is combined with a highly competitive strategy gain versus other plants. In this paper, an explanatory model of formal relations, which links the different absorption capacities of knowledge with an experimental component based on contingency, aspects on which the model is developed and used to determine the weight of each variable in the built overall innovation strategy of the plant.
