Three of the four thematic books being prepared now have their synopses completed, each of 5-6 pages, presenting the various chapters. The new version of the "Hybridization" synopsis should soon be ready.

Each group has given out clear instructions regarding editing the final draft.

The book of "abstracts" for the 3rd International Meeting in Paris will consist of the book synopses. Authors who wish to add something, or of whom the coordinators have asked modifications in presentation, should send these to GERPISA as soon as possible.

The international meetings of the "Employment Relations" and "Hybridization" groups

The first of these will take place on the 21st and 22nd of April in Madrid. It is organized by Juan José Castillo. The

participants have received the programme for the two days. The first morning will be spent visiting the Renault FASA engine factory at Valladolid, which is the "lead factory" in the Renault group amongst engine factories. Written papers will be examined during the other three half-days.

The hybridization group will meet in Leeds on the 28th and 29th of April, and will include Robert Boyer, just returned from Japan. The programme is being sent out.

Presentation of the GERPISA programme and its initial results

On 18th April, Robert Boyer, Michel Freyssenet and Patrick Fridenson will present the GERPISA programme and some of its results to representatives of PSA and Renault, at the headquarters of the French carmakers association (CCFA).
