The Fifth International Colloquium: The Internationalization Trajectories of Automobile Industry Firms

In the next Lettre you will find the more or less definite programme of the fifth colloquium as well as some practical information. Between now and then the communication projects that we have received will be chosen. However we can already indicate what the general organization of this meeting will be.

Thursday 12 June. Plenary sessions all day. In the morning after a presentation of the current internationalization movements (industrial, commercial, financial, etc.) of the automobile industry, the aim of which is to give the participants an exact understanding of the dimensions of the phenomenon, a round table discussion will be held on the internationalization of automobile firms, bringing together two manufacturers and three suppliers.

The afternoon will be dedicated to the internationalization trajectories of the automobile firms (manufacturers and suppliers), today and in the past.

Friday 13 June. This day is dedicated to work groups, which will meet at the same time during the two morning sessions and the first afternoon session. The four groups, ´†internationalization trajectories†ª, ´†new spaces†ª, ´†automobile markets and their determining factors†ª, ´† productive organizations and work relationships†ª, will meet up in a plenary session in the second half of the afternoon so that each can present their work plan and their first reflections, following the information communicated.

Saturday 14 June. The presentation of the internationalization trajectories of the firms will be taken up again. The last session will be dedicated to the reformulation and the enrichment of the problematic of the programme based on the work carried out during the year and the communications of the colloquium, as well as being dedicated to the research timetable.

Monday 16 June. As is the case every year a factory visit is organized. It may be a manufacturer with production in small volume working with a general manufacturer.
